What i learned from my trip to Ferrymead

                               I learned:

  • Ladies before gentleman.
  • Children  should be seen, not heard.
  • Schools were very strict.
  • You had to polish your shoes because they were very expense.
  • The men had to wear knickerbockers.
  • The ladies had to wear dresses and white aprons.
  • There where lots of chores like: 2 man cross saw, sweeping, silver polishing, dusting and polishing shoes.
  • They ironed there clothes to keep warm
  • They cooked their food over the fire
  • How to pack a truck
  • The ladies swept the floor
  • The men scrubbed the deck
  • They lived a V-hut

They are making candles out of wax ( The wax is made out of animal fat from the roasts).
